This page explains how TireSpecLab content is researched, written, checked and corrected. It describes the process actually in use.
Sources
- Tire sizes, load index, speed rating, UTQG grades, treadwear warranties and the three-peak mountain snowflake mark come from the manufacturer’s own product pages and specification tables, or from the official rating tables.
- Test results such as braking distance or measured noise are only quoted from published tests, with the publisher named and linked. We do not run our own tire tests.
- Prices change constantly, so we do not state fixed prices as facts.
How articles are produced
Articles are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked in a separate review step against the sources linked in the text before publication. A guide that cannot be backed by sources is not published.
Calculators
Each calculator shows the formula it uses and the assumptions behind it, for example the usual one-inch flange allowance in backspacing. Results are nominal and are meant to help you compare options, not to replace a test fit or the vehicle manufacturer’s guidance.
Corrections
When we find or are told about an error, we fix it and note the correction and its date at the end of the article.
